When I stumbled upon this vintage travel guide for Hyatt Regency HK customers in an

old bookstore, I immediately knew that I wanted to modernize it while keeping HK’s essence alive. A peek into the complicated history of HK explained its unique cultural fusion, which served as design inspiration for this book redesign.

 

With inspirations from the Chinese culture, the subtlety of the design reflects the old fashioned, understated elegance that can be found in modern days quiet luxury. A little bigger then the biggest iPhone currently available, the book can easily fit into

the smallest of smallest bags.
